The New Orleans Saints concluded their last season with a 9-8 record and were second in the NFC South. The four-time Pro Bowl quarterback, Derek Carr led the Saints in his first season.

He played in seventeen games and registered 3,878 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. He completed 68 percent of his passes. The general manager of the Saints, Mickey Loomis shared how Carr would be holding his mantle for the upcoming NFL season, during his recent appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

He mentioned, “Like anyone would be, the surroundings are more familiar, the coaches are more familiar, the environment that we have in our building is familiar. But, one thing that’s been understated, it’s on purpose is Derek had a pretty tough year last year, physically. He got rocked pretty good in the Green Bay game and it took a number of games for him to get feeling like himself.”...

Taliese Fuaga, the 14th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has signed his rookie contract, announced by the New Orleans Saints on social media.

Fuaga, an offensive tackle out of Oregon State, was a three-time All-American with the Beavers and will bring offensive line versatility with his ability to shift between guard and tackle, but he is likely to be the starting left tackle in September.

The deal gets done right before Rookie Minicamp is expected to begin on Friday. Fuaga’s contract is a standard four-year rookie deal with a fifth-year option and is $17.3 million fully guaranteed...

The New Orleans Saints have put pen to paper with their first round selection in the 2024 NFL draft, offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga, as the team shared a photo of Fuaga signing his contract on Thursday afternoon. It’s good to see them moving so quickly to sign the former Oregon State right atckle.

Fuaga, who was picked at 14th overall in this year’s draft, is a highly- anticipated rookie. He should be New Orleans’ right tackle for at least the next four seasons. Hopefully this won’t be the last contract that he signs with the team.

The Saints have not had the best hit rate on first round...

Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler invited to 2024 NFLPA Rookie Premiere

Here’s a big opportunity for Spencer Rattler. The New Orleans Saints quarterback was among 40 first-year pros invited to participate in the 2024 rookie premiere, the NFL Players Association announced Thursday. This event is designed to help incoming players adjust to the pros by connecting them with potential business partners and sharing financial literacy resources.

Oftentimes the players invited are those who the NFLPA believes are most marketable, which says a lot about how highly regarded Rattler may be despite his status as this year’s 150th overall draft pick.

And it’s very...

NFL schedule to be released May 15, here's who the Saints will play

The NFL schedule is set to be released on May 15, which is less than a week away. It’s the latest reveal since 1990 and continues the trend of revealing the schedule in May since 2020. It’s one of the more fun events that keeps the NFL in the headlines during the offseason. As the years go on, the focus has shifted from the schedule itself to how can you reveal it.

NFL schedule reveal has become a spectacle that has outshined the schedule itself. It was a necessary evolution from reveal shows that last an hour, despite every team’s schedule being available from the beginning of the show.

Now team’s social media team come up with elaborate ways to reveal the schedule. Last year, New Orleans opted to play on the NFL script jokes from last offseason. They weren’t alone, but it wasn’t the best execution of the bunch. It’ll be interesting to see what angle they come up with this year and how they stack up against their peers

On the schedule, fans should look for the amount of primetime games the Saints will play. Last year New Orleans played two Thursday Night Football games and a Monday Night Football game against the Panthers. The Saints have struggled over the last few years so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see that number drop slightly.

We know who the Saints are playing, but not when. That information will be revealed next week. For now, here is their list of opponents in 2024:

How do the Saints compare with the NFC South

It’s been a few weeks since the NFL held its annual draft. How has the NFC South shaped up, and where are the Saints on the totem pole?

I say that they’re right at the top, with the Atlanta Falcons not that far behind. Then it’s the Buccaneers and the Panthers at the bottom. The Saints only improved on areas of need in April but have also made some key free agent signings that put them over the top of the division. Additions like Tailese Fuaga and Chase Young are prime examples of this.

On the first day of the NFL Draft, the Saints selected Tailese Fuaga, an offensive tackle out of...

Saints positions of need after the NFL Draft

Going into the NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints had many holes that needed to be filled. They had a very good draft and were able to fix important parts of the team, but now that the roster is taking shape, there is still more work to be done.

Although this is not the flashiest position, it is the most glaring need on the Saints roster. Left Guard is a position on the team that does not have a shoo-in starter. As of now, the Saints are putting their faith in 2023 draftee Nick Saldiveri. The Saints have signed three left guards out of free agency and two more out of undrafted free agency...

B/R writer predicts Spencer Rattler will outplay his draft status

The NFL draft is largely a guessing game, and every year we see players outperform their draft status. And Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay picked six rookies who could do just that. Rather than focus on the players who were drafted too early, Kay chose to highlight on the positive impact of some of those reaches. One team’s reach led to another team getting a bargain as highly-regarded prospects fell down the board.

One of the New Orleans Saints’ fifth-round selections, former South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler, was the latest draft pick to make Bleacher Report’s list. Kay’s statement...

There might not be much of a fan presence at New Orleans Saints training camp this summer. With construction on a new team cafeteria occupying the Ochsner Performance Center, the Saints have announced they are moving their 2024 training camp from Metairie, La. to Irvine, Calif. The move will bring a change of pace for the Saints and an escape from the heat. But due to a little-known league rule, the move may also result in an escape from fans.

According to the MMQB’s Albert Breer, there is a league rule that prevents visiting team from hosting fan events in competing markets. That...
