That's so unusual and both video's show it happening clearly. How on earth did a pilot even flying broken wreckage manage to achieve and then maintain a zero forward air speed stall like that.

It's doing a leaf windmilling down from a tree thing.
I was thinking the same thing. Inertia is usually such that a jet still generally travels in the direction it was heading until it hits the ground. Weird seeing them dropping almost straight down.

It's possible in trying to avoid a missile, the pilot tried to increase altitude suddenly and going more vertical when hit. Idk.
