Star Wars upheaval? (4 Viewers)

When it came out yesterday that WW3 getting canned wasn't a result of the new brain trust at DC taking over, but was from the old regime not liking the script or what she was doing with the character, that was pretty telling. She had a lot of cache after Wonder Woman's success and pretty much single handedly tanked it with WW84's awful script and underperformance.

She's a more than capable director, but having some writing help probably wouldn't be a bad thing.
Yeah, I was like, WW84 couldn't be that bad and then I watched it and I was like, how did DC approve production for that terrible excuse of a movie. I was shocked. The only redeeming thing about the movie was it being shot on location in our area. The mall where the movie was shot was a place we've visited numerous times, so seeing familiar landmarks was cool. But that's about it. Not even Gadot could save that movie. Which sucks because she's a capable actor.

I liked it but it could've and should've been so much better. She didn't even write the first one, Snyder did.

Not sure how I feel about this…

Yeah, I'm not sure George is going to help things. I saw the "These are not the Droids you are looking for clip" the other day and was completely distracted by the unnecessary digital additions like the floating droid and the additional creatures. They all look kind of bad now and they didn't need to be there in the first place. Then I recalled all the other things he did not that movie like digitally putting in Jabba and having Han comedically step on his tail, Han shooting SECOND, etc. That man killed his own art. I really wish I had the original version of Star Wars somewhere.

He isn't coming back. I'm not being mean, but Roger Christian is 80 years old and clearly has no idea what he's talking about in that interview clip they base the whole article around.

Anything Post-6 should be considered crap simply from guilty by association.
Eh, TFA was pretty solid imo. I just got through rewatching the entire saga, and I actually enjoyed all of it. The last 2 certainly left a lot to be desired from a plot and story telling perspective, but on their own as space fantasy flicks, they were still fun.

Ultimately to each his own tho.

You spelled 8 and 9 wrong
Not really. When I saw 7, I had so many questions, as I'm sure everyone had, like who the First Order is, how did they come to power, Snoke, etc. That's the direction Filoni's going with The Mandalorian and the other shows.
