Looking for a replacement gaming computer for my teenage son. This computer was listed on our local Marketplace. Can anyone look at these specs and tell me if it’s a decent machine. The price is suspiciously low for New Zealand.

hard to say b/c there is no price reference

But those specs are very mid
the GPU is okay, (I wouldn't call it "high fps gaming" though - I guess technically you could get high fps out of it, with low graphic settings and low resolution settings)

but... the processor is not great.

Also list what monitor he has/or will be using (the resolution is what matters)

edit: why monitor resolution matters is b/c at 1080p the cpu is more important than GPU. At 1440 resolution, it could go either way. At 4k resolution the cpu doesn't matter as much, and you need to focus on a better GPU

so about the specific item you linked, if the resolution is 1080p, that cpu in that build will be quite bad. If running a higher resolution (1440) it will be okay (think C tier), since the gpu is doing more work. At 4k, this would be a bad choice all around of a computer.
