The franchise is where it is because of Mickey Loomis.

He didnt prepare properly for Brees' retirement. He kept building an old team without recognizing the reality in front of him. He made a bunch of draft day trades that cost us plenty of mid round depth and talent. He drafted Turner and Penning who both look like they will be in the conversation for biggest busts in Saints history. He signed Carr for 150 million when he couldve got at least an equal record by rolling with Jameis or Taysom. He hired a pathetic HC that no one else wanted, kept him after 4-9, kept him after the season, and allows him to continue coaching this team despite playing the weakest schedule in the Super Bowl era of the NFL.

I can't disagree with that. The biggest mistake of his career is not planning for the day Drew no longer manned the ship.
