Hacking ExtendedPDF to work with Evolution? (1 Viewer)

I really liked Okular also...nice GUI...but it was one of the PDF readers I was trying out that couldn't "see" the hyperlinks created with the cups-pdf virtual printer. Is there a way to hack or tweak Okular to recognize those hyperlinks?

I really don't understand why Adobe would recognize those links, and allow a click through, while other PDF viewers do not. Can someone explain this to me in simple, plain english terms?

Yeah, looks like cups-pdf will not preserve hyperlinks. I can follow hyperlinks in Evince and Oklular easily, but not when processed through cups-pdf.

Obviously, it must recognize the "http://" part and automatically create a hyperlink? :idunno: just a guess.
Sorry, I no longer use Acrobat.

I have created cool PDF in Scribus, but that was mostly using images, don't know about hyperlinks.

There is always LaTex. It's has a hefty learning curve, but I the ones I know that know it well can do anything with it.
I am nowhere even close to knowing LaTex. I cheat and use Lyx and only skim the surface of what that can do.

This may help you out or hopefully point you in the right direction.
